Chinese New Year Celebration

Whether you're toasting the Year of the Rat, Dragon, Snake, or any of the other nine zodiac animals, be sure to afford the Chinese New Year as much attention as you do for the celebrations on the 31st December each year. Deck the halls with red and gold, get tucking into an oriental fishy feast, and usher in the start of the Spring season in style! For those of you feeling adventurous, how about donning the special costume, and learning traditional 'Lion Dance', said to banish all sorrow and ill-fortune! For more info on the 'Lion Dance', head to http://www.nationsonline.org/oneworld/Chinese_Customs/lion_dance.htm

"It's an honour to be the only person to make the TGSNI submissions list twice! Chinese New Year is a big deal for me, and it would be great if we could get a few more people involved in celebrating it. You're in luck if you're a fan of tangerines too..."
